Alberto is 10 months!

We have all sorts of nicknames for the little guy these days. Al, Berto, Alberto, Bubba, Buddy, Boo-boo.

He loves to eat bananas, he has a whole one for breakfast every morning. He also love frozen go-gurts for a treat, frozen peas, graham crackers, yogurt, string cheese, quesadillas, lunch meat, fruit snacks and more. I made curry last night and we gave him a little bit to see if he would like it. It is really spicy, but he ate a huge bowl of it and another huge bowl for lunch today. So apparently he likes curry too! We had some fun with this little Christmas shoot.

He is learning new tricks everyday. Today he was playing with his buzz lightyear cell phone and he put it up to his ear like he knew exactly how to use it. It was too cute! He is starting to stand on his own. He loves to unroll the toilet paper and to stand up to the toilet and pound on the lid. We have to be really careful to keep the toilet seat down because he will lick the seat. He loves to read books and will turn the pages for me. He takes such good naps, still two a day. He has 3 teeth on top and 2 on bottom. He loves to pull himself up on everything and get into to literally everything! We have to block off all parts of the apartment except for the family room. There is a tubberware drawer in the kitchen that I let him play in when I am cooking dinner, and he loves pulling everything out of that baby!

We just love our little man. We can't believe how fast he is growing. We are so excited to give him his little presents for Christmas, even though he will have no idea what is going on.

Happy boy in the morning eating breakfast.

My friend Katelyn sent this to me...and yep, that about sums it up!

Poor baby scratched his face and seems to always have a boogy nose lately.

Ha ha made me laugh.

Don't quiet fit yet, but we can't wait until they do.

Christmas Crafts

I have made a few crafts this holiday season. My friend Andrea and I decided we should sew our very own stockings. Jill gave me a 'fool proof' pattern that she uses at school. We figured that if 7th graders can do it, so can we. It took us a few tries and lots of seam ripping, but we finally got them figured out. I am excited about how they turned out. Since we don't have a mantel or fireplace, we improvised and hung them on the mirror in our family room.
Alexanders has little doggies on it, since he is obsessed with dogs lately.

I also made this burlap wreath for our front door. (thank you pinterest!)

We do have a Christmas tree, but I have yet to take pictures of it. I will post soon. The horrible tragedy in Connecticut happened today and I can't stop thinking about it. I can't imagine the horror that those children experience and the sorrow their families feel now. I pray they feel the Saviors comfort and love. Merry Christmas to all. I hope everyone is remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

Lizzy and her new tummy

So Lizzy has been sick this whole year throwing up and being nauseous all the time. She finally decided to get a j-tube. It's a feeding tube that bypasses her stomach and goes straight to her intestines (I think?) It was a major surgery and a huge trial for her, but she did great. She is a tough cookie and such a great example to me. I spent last week hanging out with her at my parents. She is so excited that I am taking pictures of her...she said this one is her favorite:)

Her food- yummy!!

How it goes in...

Al loves Liz. And he thinks all the cords and buttons she is hooked up to are pretty cool too.

How she has been keeping sane. (This was me and Darby's Black Friday Target find....all of these DVD's were so cheap!)

Group pic!

Liz was feeling well enough on Wednesday to go to the new Twilight movie. We went with Darby and Shauna. It was super fun and hilarious.
We love you Liz! We hope your tummy gets better soon!

Californian Thanksgiving!

We went to California for Thanksgiving this year. I was the photographer for a wedding of some friends of Darby's parents. It worked out perfect for us because we had a fun vacation and I made some money. We stayed at Darby's parents home. We LOVE the Richards family and miss them so much. They were such great hosts and we cannot thank them enough. We had so much fun, I seriously miss it everyday. Alexander and Lilly played non stop- and because of that took awesome naps so Darby and I could play non stop! Here are the kids playing piano. They thought that was pretty great.

* you can see here that Al bumped his eye on the chair. Poor little dude.

Taylor was joining in with the drums!

We went to the beach a couple days. They live just a few minutes so it was fun to go for an afternoon. This beach is called 'Baby beach' because there are no waves and they imported the soft sand. The first day we went, both babies headed strait for the water and Al learned his lesson very quickly...it was sooo cold!

He was not a happy camper

But he loved the sand. Seriously he ate handful after handful. At first I thought he would learn his lesson, so we just let him do it, but then he didn't stop. Don't worry, he pooped it all out the next day.

Lilly was so happy and couldn't get enough of the water

He was just content in the little mound Taylor built for him.

See? Literally mouthfuls!

I loved watching Al play in the sand. Its so fun seeing him do 'firsts.' I loved the beach and the sunshine.

The Richards have a pool and a hottub, so we spent a lot of time out there. The babies loved it. Lilly is a pro-swimmer and can pretty much swim all by herself.

They loved Spot.

Lilly going under

Al loved kicking around in the floatey

This was an enormous spider thing that George found outside. You can't really see it very well, but it looked like a crab.

We didn't take very many pictures of our fantastic, yet unconventional Thanksgiving holiday. We spent a lot of time eating, watching "Duck Dynasty," playing Canasta, and just hanging out. The Richards are the nicest people and we can't wait to go back. The wedding turned out great and I am really happy with the pictures.
