A fair day...at the State Fair!!!

Ok, so it was not just fair, it was fantastic! We met up with Kaylee and J.C. (for those who do not know them, Kaylee is Taylor's cousin and my old mission companion and she is the culprit to our wonderful marriage. J.C. is her awesome boyfriend.) We did it all at the fair, fried food and all. I guess the pictures explain it all.

Yes this is a piece of chocolate covered bacon we just had to try

The classic funnel cake

Cute pot belly piggies

We pretended to be really interested in this dog so we could actually hold it

This is my favorite picture! He did really good and stayed on for a while

And my favorite....fried snickers!!

You haven't been to a fair until you've been to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. We look forward to it every year!

Curry in a hurry!

So now that I am back to cooking, (its been 3 weeks since I've puked!!) Taylor requested I make curry this week. Our favorite curry is from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. We love her blog!!!! My other favorite food blog is Our best bites. I get new ideas from both of them all of the time. Anyways, I make the curry with this indian naan flatbread which possibly may be my favorite part of the meal. The dough it so easy then you plop it on a pizza stone and it takes like 2 min. to bake. We eat the left overs of this meal for the rest of the week.

Fresh tomatoes...

On top of the coconut curry and rice. I was planning to taking pictures of each item separately, but I think my appetite got the best of me!!

Labor Day... but not so much labor!

This weekend we were full of adventure. First we headed up to Wolverine Canyon with Barry, Sam and Warren. We had tinfoil dinners and orange bowls for dinner, then Taylor made a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage and cinnamon bread (if you haven't tried the Cinnabon Cinnaburst bread you need to!!! *Walmart). We hung out around the fire, the boys shot stuff, got a lot of burrs and we went for a little walk. It was pretty low key, fun and beautiful. Its not really an official campsite, so there are a lot of holes and bumps, so learning from last time, we brought the mattress from our futon, but poor Barry and Sam were miserable. I guess we should have warned them. Hopefully they will want to go with us again next year!

Putting up the tents

Warren playing around. He loved the camera and he is so photogenic. I took some portraits of him for a class. You can see them here.

Sam helping with the tent.

The boys shooting the next morning.

Real men!!

Taylor loves this little guy.

Catching up with everybody after a potty break...

Cute Barry and Sam!

Our little family, of course with Taylor putting his hand on the baby.

We got home from camping in the afternoon, and with a few hours to spare we headed off to visit Taylors brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Ashley in Burley. It was a great weekend. They are always to gracious to host us and fill the time with great food and fun things. We love going to visit them and especially play with their two girls Rylee and Reese. I hope we weren't too much of a bother. Ashely is due with their 3rd baby in 3 weeks and she just got called to be the Young Womens President. She is going to do a great job!!!

Taylor and Reese. She loved playing on the tramp with Taylor.
