Basketball

We got Al a little basketball hoop last weekend. Taylor found it for so cheap and we couldn't help but get it! We attached it to his crib and he will play with it for hours in his room. He hasn't quite figured out why he would want to let the ball go, so he puts his hand in the hoop and pulls it out! He will come sit on my lap and let me shoot it, then run and get the ball and bring it back to me. He walks around with his ball and won't let it go for anything. Its fun to see him so excited about a toy. We bought these little sunglasses for him too and he puts them on and plays. Its so funny. Taylor says he looks like Antoine Carr.

This past weekend we had a party for my primary class- I teach Valiant 8, so they are 8-9 yr olds. I seriously love them so much and Al is obsessed with them, since he comes to class with me once Sunday School is done and Taylor has Young Mens. I have 2 kids sign up to be special helpers for Alexander each week and they can't wait for their turn. This year we set class goals. They are  memorizing James 1:5, the 7th Article of Faith, and sing a special musical number in Sacrament mtg., then they would get a prize. I asked them on the first day of class what a good prize was and they said an ice cream party. So true to my word, and theirs, since they already memorized both and sang a few Sundays ago, we had our party. We had icre cream and brownies and we played Just Dance Disney. The kids got bored after a while, so we whipped out Clue and Loopin Louie. It was so fun to have them over. We are going to memorize the 13th AOF next and they want a pizza party next time. I told them we have to hurry because we are going to be moving in August. I'm going to miss these kids when we move!

What we have been up to lately...

As Taylor kindly reminded me tonight, I haven't posted in a while. That doesn't mean I haven't been taking pictures though! So here are a bunch of pictures from the last few weeks.

First we celebrated Cami's birthday with Kaylee and J.C. We made yummy pizza!
Then, Amy and Steve and their kids came for a quick visit! I miss those kids so much, and Alexander loved to see his cousins!

Since the weather has been getting better, Al has been playing out on our porch. He will stay out there for hours and just look at the cars go by and play with his tractor. He loves being outside and we can't wait for better weather!

We gave Al a haircut tonight. It was getting way too long! I was trying to grow it out to see if it would lay flat, and be shaggy, but as you can tell with this side view, it definitely doesn't lay flat. He definitely has his Daddy's hair! (Right before)

After!

He looks so big. My little sweetie!

And these last two are during a Sunday nap. Sundays are the worst for this poor kid!
