Alexander 8 months

This is an excerpt from my journal...

October 9.2012

I am writing as the baby 'army crawls' around the floor. He hasn't quite got the crawling on his knees thing down yet. But he is so close. he is so fun and amazing to watch him observe everything around him. He catches on to things os fast. He uses his index fingers to feel and scratch everything. I think he favors his left hand- so it will be interested to see what happens there. I gave him a buzz cut (and Taylor too) the other night. They are little twinners. He looks so much older now. I was so sad to cut off his beautiful golden hair. He is getting so big. He is such a good eater. He loves just about everything; green beans, black beans, avacado, peaches, pears, bananas, yogurt, jam. He loves real food like spaghetti and lasagna too. His favorite toys are a mirror book that he can see himself in and a touch and feel tractor book. He loves playing with plastic spoons and water-bottles. We went for a walk yesterday with Rigley (Taylor's dog). He kept watching him and would scream when he couldn't see him. Taylor took us on a 4-wheeler ride the other day too and he loved that as well. He is scared of the cows though. He gets a very worried look on his face and starts crying when he sees them, or hears them moo. He absolutely adores Taylor's parents. He especially love his Grandpa Wray. When Vince comes home from school, he takes the baby out to do chores like feed the cows and water. Alexander loves it and gets so excited when he comes home. When he wakes up in the morning I take him upstairs, by that time everyone is at work. He just looks and looks and sqeals. He will scoot over to Grandma's room and squeal. His face is so animated.

*update* This week his top teeth started coming in. One has broken through so far. To soothe him, we have been giving him frozen gogurts and he goes crazy! He has also started to fake cough and fake yawn to get attention. He still can't crawl 'normally' but gets around really fast. He has started scooting on his bum, its a half crawl, half scoot thing. He has also started to wave. At first he only would wave to Grandma Jill. Then he waved to my Grandma Alexander. Now wave's to everyone.

I love my little Al. He brings me so much happiness and constantly teaches me.

Al and Lilly Bathtime!

We went down to Utah last weekend to spend some time with my family. My grandparents were there as well as my brother Dave and his wife Shauna, that we only get to see a couple of times a year, but they are moving to Utah next month....!!!! Anyways, I was busy taking pictures of the family, but here are some snapshots of Alexander and Lilly taking a bath in my parents big tub. They played so well together and are starting to interact more.
