Weekend fun and baby bump
So lately I have been feeling a lot better, and by a lot, I mean A LOT!!! I made dinner almost every night this past week, and was able to keep everything down. I even had seconds (ok maybe thirds) of my favorite dinner, Hawaiian Haystacks. So I definitely have been putting on some weight, which I am glad because I need to start catching up! Lately I have taken double looks at myself in the mirror because my belly is starting to round out (and not just the beer gut that I had on my mission). Here is the first picture of the baby bump...18 weeks!
This weekend we went on a little adventure. I told Taylor I just wanted to go for a drive and go somewhere I had never been before. So we started out with going to the classic Reeds Dairy to get ice cream and see the new baby goats. Then we drove out west of our house and Taylor took me to see Frank Vandersloot's house. Ok his estate. It was amazing. We drove around it a few times and drove out in the country for a while. It was so peaceful and fun to be together. All in all it was a relaxing and memorable weekend. Taylor is working so hard in school and I am so proud of him!!

Alpine Days and Mikey's Soccer Game
This weekend we headed down to Utah for a little Lagoon day and Alpine Days. t was fun to see my sister and her kids again. We only see them once a year, so we were happy to see them again while they are still at my parents house.
We all went to Lagoon, but Sam and Jess stayed home with their sick babies so Tay and I were in charge of Sammy and Dean. It was so fun being with all of the little kids because they were so excited about everything. I keep laughing about their little faces on the rides. I wish I would have taken my camera, but the pictures I got are from Rachael's blog. I loved staying with the kids because I couldn't go on most of the rides. Darb and I hung out a lot!!
The good ole Alpine Days parade:
Our neighbor on his restored tractors.
My cute parents.
Anna and Amy
The boys were ready to grab all the candy thrown at them.
It was sooooo hot and we were sitting on the ground. I was dying! My cute husband and I. He takes such good care of me.
After the parade we walked over to the park for the carnival. Here are the boys looking at some old restored cars. I'm pretty sure my dad was in heaven.
Stephen and Luke. Such studs. They had fun running around and going on all of the blow up toys.
Dad and I waited in the shade while everyone played. He decided to take a little snooze. I just people watched.
Here are the boys doing the gladiator fight thing. They are both taikwondo (SP?) champs, so it was pretty entertaining to watch them fight. They could barely lift up the things.
Later that day we went to Ogden to watch Mike play his first game for Weber State. They played against SLCC and won. It was fun to watch Mike again, he is such a great player and I am very proud of him.
This was a shot on goal, and he barely missed!
Later that night, we headed back to Alpine to the Alpine days rodeo. The rodeo grounds are right above my parents house and it was quite the little rodeo. It was pretty fun. The only pictures we got was of Rock in his sweet cowboy boots and shorts.
It was a blast being home for the weekend. I have been so tired because of my new job I work really early in the mornings and really long shifts, standing on my feet all day. The weekend was a great break!

We had a way fun family reunion, including Monte the Magician, a Petting Zoo and pony rides, Greg's Famous BBQ and a square dance caller!
